Summer Movement Camps

Our week-long, fun-filled Movement Camps will be held at Chipeta Park in Nederland, Colorado. We invite children ages 5-12 from Nederland, the Peak-to-Peak and other surrounding regions to join us for two fun-filled weeks of movement camp this summer!

Our camps will include movement skills and games, including hanging, handstands, cartwheels, different ways to move (locomotion), and partner and group movement games! Skill learning will be intertwined with fun movement games and co-operative play. We will explore beyond the traditional movements of gymnastics in these camps, through variations on acrobatics, balancing, locomotion and hanging as well as fun play using our environment.

Movement and Clay:

We have partnered with Spinning Silica to offer children a full-day camp experience! To enjoy a full day of camp, your child/children will move with us in the morning from 9am-noon, followed by lunch and park play with our “lunch-bunch” offering and finally they will mold and build with Clay Camp at Spinning Silica from 1-4pm.

Movement Camp Details

LOCATION:

Our summer camps will be held at Chipeta Park, which is located at 254-306 Lakeview Dr, Nederland, CO 80466. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the pavilion, near the playground equipment.

If extreme weather is forecast, we will look to secure an indoor location in town. This will be communicated with as much advance notice as possible.

TUITION:

Camp tuition is $250 for 5 days. Tuition includes 3 hours of camp from 9am until 12 noon for 5 days and a healthy snack mid-morning.

If multiple children from the same household are participating, you may deduct $15 per each additional child.

If your child is attending both weeks of camp you can deduct $20 from their total tuition.

LUNCH BUNCH:

Our Lunch Bunch will run from Noon until 1pm in partnership with Spinning Silica. During the lunch hour we will supervise while children enjoy their lunch (lunch is not provided) and play on the playground or other low-key activity options.

We will coordinate walking campers over to Spinning Silica at the end of the lunch hour. Children not attending Clay Camp are to be picked up by 1pm. The Lunch Bunch option is an additional $75 per week.

OTHER DETAILS:

Water and bathrooms will be available in the Chipeta Park pavilion. Please be sure to pack sunscreen, a labelled water bottle, hat, sunglasses, flexible shoes, and healthy snacks (no sugar/candy please).

We ask that you apply sunscreen before drop-off and sign your child in and out of camp.
